Gaelic Football / Peil Ghaelach

Gaelic football is an integral part of the sporting life of Coláiste na Carraige Coláiste na Carraige field teams in both Girls and Boys GAA and students are encouraged to participate and learn the game. Our backroom team includes Mr. Doherty, Ms. Carr, Mr. Boyle, Mr Ward and our team mentor and head coach Mr. Neilie Byrne assisted by Mr Patrick McShane.

Basketball / Cispheil

Coláiste na Carraige participates in Girls Basketball and field teams at under 14, 16 and 19 levels. Training for our Basketball teams happens on Wednesdays at 3.20 until 5pm. Our teams are managed by our coaching staff of Mr Waugh and Ms. McShane. 

Athletics / Lúthchleasaíocht

Coláiste na Carraige has a strong tradition of participation in athletics. The season starts in October with cross country and concludes with the Irish Schools Track and Field finals on the first Saturday in June. Our schools athletics programme is run jointly with our local athletics club Tír Chonaill AC and their coaching staff. Training for athletics takes place on Wednesday evenings at 6pm until 7.15pm.

Musicals / Ceolchoirmeacha

Coláiste na Carraige likes a good Musical and loves a great one. Our musical director Mr Coughlan has staged many of the great musicals over the last twenty years and students are encouraged to participate either on stage or behind it and continue this fabulous tradition. 

Entrepreneurship / Fiontraíocht

Future leaders are born from the many programs that Coláiste na Carraige participate in. Students are supported to initiate start ups and enter competitions.

Choir / Cór

Our School Choir is a gift to our wellbeing program and students from all years enjoy and compete.
